Gill Scott

Gill has been working in education in Manchester for 15 years and has taken creative approaches to both improve the learning experience and to inspire and motivate students, staff and education leaders.

Working across14-19 partnerships at Manchester City Council, as a senior manager of the Greater Manchester Strategic Alliance(the Lifelong Learning Network) and at Aimhigher Greater Manchester, she has engaged with education leaders, practioners,  employers and the wider community to develop education that is valued by both individuals and employers.  Gill's skills are in identifying links and opportunities in these complex landscapes, producing creative solutions and intiating/commissioning project and other activity. Equality of opportunity, progression and professional development has been central to her work and she continues to look beyond the boundaries of individual institutions towards a wider vision of communities of learning.

Roger Clark

Roger was a lecturer and deputy head of a university psychology department before pursuing his strong interest in learning technology to head up a learning support unit. He has designed and developed substantial software applications including statistics teaching applications and one of the first Virtual Learning Environments. More recently he has project managed cross-institional software developments ( Greater Manchester Lifelong learning network), written the specification for the Greater Manchester 14-19 common application process and been part of the support team for JISC's "Course Data" programme involving 80+ institutions.
